Mr. Gaurav Shah

Mr. Gaurav Shah is the Group Managing Director & CEO of the DeGroup of Companies and is currently based in Singapore. He has a degree in Business Administration from Mumbai University. Gaurav, 31, has worked with TAS, VNPL, NetCore, JPMC in various cross-functional roles.

During his professional journey he has lived in various countries including India, Hong Kong, and Singapore. He has closely worked with clients like Wockhardt Hospitals, Actis Biologics, Mumbai International Airport, amongst others. He has also been invited as a speaker at many International Conferences and Summits on various subjects.

Gaurav brings in the necessary global experience, business acumen and intelligence to run a niche group of companies successfully and help clients truly optimize their critical resources.

Mr. P. N. Venugopalan

Mr. P N Venugopalan has an impressive working experience of 40 years. He started off his career at the age of 19 as a Medical Representative in Schering, where he went on to become the Assistant Sales Manager and left the company as the Divisional Manager.

Mr. Venugopalan has worked as Director for over a decade in Hoechst Marion Roussel Ltd, AgrEvo India Ltd, Optrex India Ltd, UB Pharma ( Kenya ) Ltd, and UB Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He was also involved in the overwhelming growth of Carews Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Dominion Chemical Industries Ltd. All in all he was with the UB Group for over 26 years and resigned as President of the Pharmaceuticals Business of UB Group. He holds credits for blockbuster drugs like Combiflam, etc.

He was also a Director of Aventis and is currently a Director on the Board of Sami Labs and President of Actis Biologics Group.

Akshat Pande

Mr. Akshat is a qualified corporate lawyer holding LLM from the UK and LLB from India. He is also registered with the BAR Council of India and Institute of Company Secretaries.

Akshat has a total corporate work experience of over 7 years and has worked with both corporates and law firms on Private Equity and other structured financial transactions. His area of expertise is Intellectual Property, Entertainment, Corporate and IT Laws.

He looks after the business of DeGroup in India and is also responsible for due diligence activity on all projects alongside giving legal advise for structuring and compliance of the various investment transactions.

Mr. G. Thena

Thena has over 25 years experience in the corporate management with some leading multinational organizations. Founder and ex-MD of Integrated Biotech Sdn. Bhd., involved with a leading Malaysian Government company to establish a Agri-biotech venture. He currently sits on board with companies globally including Ecosight, Actis Biologics, etc.

He started his career as an Engineer with a leading Malaysian multinational - Sime Darby and handled various job functions. His last corporate position, as General Manager of leading PVC floor manufacturing company and was responsible for Asia and Europe.

He has experience of working in United States with the Alternative Energy Institute - Texas, designing and fabricating Wind Turbines. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E. Mechanical) from Bangalore University, India and Master of Science from West Texas A & M University, U.S.A.
